Does Hades work with Google Meet, Zoom and Teams?
Yes, with all of them — and with any other call that plays on your computer. It doesn't join the meeting: it hears the sound coming out of your speakers and your microphone.

Yes: Meet, Zoom, Teams and anything else. Hades doesn't connect to the meeting and doesn't join it as a participant — it hears the sound coming out of your computer (the client's voice) and your microphone (your voice). It makes no difference whether the meeting is on Meet, Zoom, Teams, a WhatsApp video call on your desktop or a phone call you take on your PC.
What that changes in practice
- Nothing to set up in the meeting. No extension, no add-on, no bot, nobody to invite. You join the meeting the way you always do.
- No bot joins your meeting. The window stays on your monitor and is left out of screen sharing — if you share your whole screen, the client doesn't see it. That keeps your screen clean; it isn't a way to hide the tool. Hades transcribes the call (and records it, when recording is turned on), and in about a dozen U.S. states every party has to consent to that, so say it at the top of the call.
- You don't have to change your sound output. Leave Zoom, Meet or Teams exactly as they are. On the Hades home screen, Call audio (the client's voice) stays on System audio, and that's it.
- Does it work for in-person meetings? No — with no sound coming out of the computer, Hades would only hear you.
What has to be true
- Windows 10 or 11. The desktop app is Windows only for now. The Mac app is still in development and there is no other way to use Hades during a meeting on a Mac — if you're on a Mac, tell us on the chat below and we'll ping you when it ships.
- The meeting plays on this computer. If you join the meeting on your phone and leave Hades open on the PC, it hears nothing. The meeting has to be on the same computer Hades is open on.
- Headphones work, wired or Bluetooth. If the client's voice doesn't show up in the transcript over Bluetooth, try a wired headset — some Bluetooth devices keep the computer from passing the sound through. Details in Hades isn't hearing the meeting.
Test it before your first real call
- Open Hades, pick your microphone and leave Call audio on System audio. Click Start call.
- Play any video on YouTube, or do a test call with a colleague on Meet or Zoom.
- Say something out loud too.
