The meeting moves the deal on its own (and when it doesn't)
A meeting, an outcome, a proposal and an approved follow-up move the contact's card forward on the board. Never to Lost, and never over what you moved by hand.
Updated on
When a meeting is linked to a contact, Hades gives it a deal — the one the person already has open, or a new one — and, as things happen, moves the card forward on the board. You don't have to drag anything to keep your funnel up to date. The deals board comes with the Oracle plan and up (see the deals board).
What moves the card, and to where
- The meeting happens (the analysis arrives from the app) → In conversation.
- You log the outcome — Moved forward or No decision → In conversation; Follow up → Follow up; Won → Won. The Lost outcome by itself doesn't move the card (the meeting having happened still takes it from First contact to In conversation, like any meeting).
- You generate a proposal (Generate proposal, on the meeting's Next steps tab) → Proposal.
- You approve a follow-up cadence (Approve cadence) → Follow up.
- You link a loose meeting to a contact (from the meeting or from their page) → it's as if the meeting had just happened: the card goes to In conversation, and the meeting's outcome, if there is one, counts too.
When the outcome is Won and you filled in the meeting's amount (Amount (optional) in the app, Potential amount (optional) on the dashboard), that amount goes into the deal if it still has no amount. An amount you typed on the card is never replaced. And since the card goes to Won, it becomes a client and moves to the Client portfolio tab.
The rules Hades doesn't break
- Never takes it to Lost. Calling a deal lost is always your decision; marking the meeting Lost doesn't move the card. A card that's already in Won or Lost doesn't leave either.
- Only forward. The order it follows is: First contact → In conversation → Follow up → Proposal → Won. Careful: that isn't the order of the columns on the board (by default the Proposal column comes before Follow up). That's why a card in Follow up (put there by Hades) goes to Proposal when you generate the proposal, and a card in Proposal stays where it is when you approve the cadence.
- Doesn't override what you did. If you dragged the card to a stage, Hades leaves it there. It only takes a card out of First contact (the stage where cards are born) or out of a stage where it put it. An old card whose origin it doesn't know also stays quiet: when in doubt, it doesn't touch it.
- Doesn't touch stages you created. If the card is in a stage you created (for example, "Visit booked"), it stays where it is.
- Main pipeline only. A deal you moved to another pipeline stays where it is, even if the meeting moves forward. See several pipelines.
If the card isn't in First contact and you were the one who put it where it is, not even the Won outcome moves it: Hades respects your hand even for a win. If you want it to follow the card again, drag it back to First contact.
What makes a meeting NOT move anything
- A meeting with no contact. With no person linked, there's no deal to take. Link the meeting to a contact: see the contact page.
- A test meeting. A call under 3 minutes, the Hades demo, and any meeting marked as a test (Was this just a test? Take it out of the numbers) don't move anything.
- The analysis hasn't arrived yet. The first move happens after the app finishes analyzing the call.
- A cadence with no meeting. A follow-up that came from a WhatsApp conversation, with no meeting, doesn't move anything when you approve it: the cadence has to be linked to a meeting.
How to tell whether it was Hades or a person
The card has no mark saying who moved it. The way to tell is to look at what you just did: if you didn't drag the card and it went from First contact to In conversation, Follow up, Proposal or Won right after a meeting, an outcome, a proposal or an approved cadence, it was Hades. After you drag it, the card is yours: Hades stops touching it.
If it didn't work
- I had the meeting and the card stayed in First contact: check that the meeting is linked to a contact (the meeting's Client and outcome tab) and that it wasn't treated as a test. If you just linked it, the card moves right away.
- I logged Won and the card didn't go to Won: either the card wasn't in First contact nor put where it is by Hades (you moved it by hand), or it's in another pipeline, or in a stage of yours. Drag it to Won by hand.
- I logged Lost and the card is still on the board: that's on purpose. Drag it to Lost.
- I fixed the outcome and the card didn't go back: Hades only moves forward. If it went to Won and you corrected it to Lost, adjust the card by hand.
- I undid the cadence approval and the card stayed in Follow up: undoing doesn't bring the card back.
- "value missing" showed up on the card after it moved: the new stage sends a Purchase to Meta (an Ads rule) and the deal has no amount. Fill in the amount on the card; the Purchase goes out then. See automatic events for the pixel.
What Hades does NOT do
- It never calls a deal lost.
- It doesn't undo what you moved or take the card backward.
- It doesn't watch payments: when your customer pays, Hades doesn't see the money come into your company. The card goes to Won through the Won outcome or through you.
- It doesn't delete a deal or change the amount you typed.
- It doesn't break the meeting, the outcome or the proposal if moving the card fails: the card is the extra.
