Practicing your own sale in the Simulation
Under Training, the Simulation tab: seven stages of a sales call with a customer built from your Business DNA, by text or by voice, graded against criteria. It comes with the launch bonus. Includes the daily mission and the practice that comes from a lost sale.
Updated on
The Simulation is practice for your own sale: Hades builds a customer from your Business DNA and you talk to them, by text or by voice, across seven stages of a sales call. At the end a grader reads the conversation and tells you, criterion by criterion, what you met. It lives under Training, in the Simulation tab.
Before you start: the Business DNA
The Simulation only gets built once the DNA is filled in: Positioning, Value proposition, ICP, Differentiator, Method, Pricing, Objections and House rules (Case studies aren't required). When you open the tab you see one of these states:
- A message asking you to fill in your Business DNA — something is missing. The screen lists what (after "Falta:", which means "Missing:") and has a button "Abrir o Business DNA" (open the Business DNA). The owner or a manager edits the DNA; if you're a rep, ask them.
- A message saying the simulation is being built from your DNA — the DNA is ready and Hades is building the stages. It takes a few minutes; you can leave and come back.
- A message saying it couldn't build your simulation yet — Hades retries on its own. Check back shortly.
- The list of stages — it's ready to practice.
If you change important parts of the DNA later, Hades may rebuild the stages from the new text. The Objection stage only exists if the DNA has at least one objection with both Where to take it and Never do this filled in (the second says "Optional" in the DNA, but the Simulation needs it).
Step by step: practicing one stage
- In the left menu, click Training and then the Simulation tab. It opens its own screen, with a bar at the top reading "Simulação" and your company name, and a link back to the dashboard.
- Pick a stage. There are seven and you can do them in any order: Abertura (Opening, 8 min), Descoberta (Discovery, 12 min), Diagnóstico (Diagnosis, 12 min), Apresentação (Presentation, 10 min), Objeção (Objection, 10 min), Fechamento (Closing, 8 min) and Call completa (Full call, 30 min). Each shows whether you've tried it, the last attempt, or a green "Passou" tag (passed).
- Click "Treinar por texto" (practice by text) or "Treinar por voz" (practice by voice). If a conversation is already open on that stage, the button reads "Continuar" (continue).
- Talk to the customer. In text mode, type in the box at the bottom and press Enter (Shift+Enter starts a new line). The "Restam" clock (time left) shows the stage's time; when it hits zero, the conversation ends by itself.
- When you're done, click "Encerrar e ver correção" (end and see the grading) and confirm. The grader takes a few seconds and the grading shows on screen.
Text and voice
- By text, a box listing what will be graded sits above the conversation, with each criterion marked "Obrigatório" (required) or "Desejável" (nice to have). You know what you'll be held to before you answer.
- By voice, that list doesn't show (the grading comes at the end) and the customer changes with each attempt. The browser asks for microphone permission: allow it. The screen shows the state of the conversation, and a chip reading "Microfone aberto" (microphone open) or "Microfone fechado" (closed). While the customer is talking the microphone is closed and what you say isn't heard; when it's your turn it opens. When you finish, just stop talking: the customer answers right away.
- If you stay silent for about 20 seconds, the customer asks if you're there; after 20 more seconds the conversation ends as inconclusive.
- The screen records when you paste text, switch tabs or answer too fast. That doesn't fail anyone; if it happens a lot, the grading shows a warning.
- You can't have the same stage open by text and by voice at once: finish one before starting the other.
How the grading works
- "Passou" (passed) — every required criterion was met. From Abertura to Fechamento, all criteria are required. In the Call completa only some are required; the others are marked nice to have and don't stop you from passing.
- "Reprovou" (failed) — one or more required criteria weren't met. The screen shows which, with the line from the conversation the grader used, and a retry button.
- Inconclusive — the grader didn't answer in time, or the conversation stalled for too long. That attempt doesn't count: redo it whenever you like.
- Each criterion comes out as met, not met or inconclusive, and appears in two lists: required criteria and nice-to-have criteria.
- The button at the bottom is labeled "Voltar" plus the word for a learning path, but it takes you back to the Simulation's list of stages.
Daily mission
At the top of the list of stages, the card "Missão de hoje" (today's mission, about 5 minutes, by text) picks the objection that came up most in your calls from the last 7 days (test calls are left out), giving more weight to the ones that came up in a lost call.
- Click "Fazer a missão" (do the mission). It opens the Objection stage, by text, with that objection pinned.
- Answer and end it like any other stage.
- After the grading, the card shows the mission as done and the button becomes "Treinar de novo" (practice again). Next to it you see how many days in a row you've practiced: any graded practice counts, and a today with no practice yet doesn't reset the count.
If no objection from your DNA came up in your calls this week, or the one that came up most is no longer written the same way in the DNA, the mission draws an objection from the DNA and the screen explains why. Without the Objection stage (see above), the card doesn't appear.
Turn this lost sale into practice
- Under Calls, Meetings tab, open the meeting you marked as Lost.
- In the Client and outcome tab, under the How did it end? form, the Turn this lost sale into practice block appears. It only shows on a lost meeting that isn't a test, on an account with the Simulation.
- Click the Practice “…” button for the objection that sank the sale (there's one button per objection from the call that is also in your DNA). It opens the Objection stage, by text, with that objection pinned.
An objection that came up on the call but isn't in today's DNA is listed under Not in today's DNA, so there's no practice for it yet, with no button: add the objection to the DNA to practice it. If no objection from the DNA came up on the call, the button is Practice an objection and Hades draws one. The See where the call got stuck link opens the meeting's analysis.
Voice hours
- Practicing by text doesn't use hours.
- Practicing by voice has two limits. The first is the Simulation's own: 2 hours of voice a month. The second is your plan's hours: voice practice minutes come out of the same hours as your calls (one hour of voice practice is one plan hour). The Team screen counts those hours together with the calls'.
- If the 2 monthly hours run out, the screen says your simulation voice hours for the month are used up and that text practice is still available. If your plan hours run out, it says your plan hours for the month are used up, that voice practice uses those hours, and that text practice is still available.
- The daily mission and the lost-sale practice are always by text, so they don't use hours.
To understand your plan's hours, see How plan hours work.
If it didn't work
- The Simulation tab doesn't show under Training — the account didn't earn the simulation bonus (only the lessons one, or none). If you paid within 3 hours of starting the subscription through the call link, message us on the chat with the account's email.
- "Your simulation is not active on this account." — the bonus isn't valid for this account right now, for example because the plan lapsed. Check Plans (click your photo at the bottom of the menu).
- "Could not check your access right now. Try again in a moment." — Hades couldn't read your data at that moment. Reload the page.
- "The voice simulation needs your microphone. Allow access in the browser and try again." — click the padlock next to the page address, allow the microphone and try again.
- "Voice is unavailable right now. Text training is still available." — use the text button and try voice later.
- "Lost the audio connection. Reload the page to continue where you left off." — reload. If the connection drops for a moment, the conversation resumes on its own.
- "The customer did not respond. Say it again." — repeat your last sentence.
- "You have a simulation in progress for this scenario in the other mode." — click "Continuar" on that stage and end that conversation before starting the new one.
What the Simulation is not
- It isn't Hades Training, the other product, where a company trains whole teams by department. On the Simulation's top bar you'll see locked items from that product: they're not part of your bonus.
- It isn't hidden from whoever leads: owners and managers see each rep's average practice score next to the close rate, in Team practice and team messages.
