How the hours in my plan work

Every plan has a ceiling of call hours per month. It counts the time between Start Call and End call. Run out and the next call won't start — the one you're in is never cut off.

Updated on

Every plan gives you a number of call hours per month. What counts is the time between you clicking Start Call and End call — filling in your DNA, reading an analysis or generating a proposal costs you no hours. The only other thing that uses hours is voice practice in Simulation (see below). You can see how much you've used on the Plans screen, and Hades tells you when it runs out.

See what I have left

  1. Sign in to the dashboard, click your photo (or initials) at the bottom of the left menu and pick Plans.
  2. Look at the This month's usage card: it shows X of Yh, with a bar that turns amber past 70% and red past 90%.
  3. If hours were added to your account by hand, the card says so right below.

The three rules

  • A call in progress is never cut off. The limit is only checked when you start a call. If you have 20 minutes left and the meeting runs an hour, it runs to the end.
  • Run out and the next one won't start. When you click Start Call, the window shows a red phrase, and each one points to whoever can fix it: your plan's hours ran out this month (the whole account: move up a plan), you're out of hours this month — talk to your account manager (on a team account the hours belong to the rep's seat) or invoice past due — only 2h of calls until it’s paid (the charge came due; pay and it's back to normal).
  • Hours reset on the 1st of every month. What's left over doesn't roll into the next month.

How many hours each plan has

The numbers below are today's — the Plans screen is always the right source, because that's where they live. What each plan has besides hours is in plans: what each one has.

  • Initiate — 15 hours a month, one person.
  • Oracle — 35 hours a month, one person.
  • Demigod — 50 hours a month for the owner's seat, and it's the only plan that takes a team: every extra seat comes with its own hours (15 h on a standard seat, 35 h on a seat moved up to Oracle level). Up to 10 seats. See adding someone from my team.
  • Titan — for teams larger than 10, arranged directly with us.

Whoever closed on the launch call gets 5 extra hours for 30 days, on top of the plan's — see the launch bonus.

Voice practice uses hours too

Sales Simulation has its own ceiling of 2 voice hours a month for whoever got the bonus, and the voice conversation uses your plan's hours: an hour of voice practice is an hour less for your calls. Text practice costs no hours. If the plan's hours are already gone, the voice session in Simulation won't open — the screen tells you the plan hours ran out and that text practice is still available. See the sales simulation.

Ran out in the middle of the month

Add-on hour packs are sold in Brazil only for now, so there's no pack to buy on a USD account — the Plans screen won't show one. Two things you can do:

  • Move up a plan. On Plans, pick the next rung and confirm — the new hour ceiling applies from that moment, not next month.
  • Message us on the chat below. If it was an unusual month and the next rung isn't what you want, tell us and we'll sort it out with you.

On a team account (Demigod), hours belong to each seat. As the owner, go to Team to move a rep up to Oracle level if 15 hours a month isn't enough for them.

Another limit you might hit

On top of your plan's hours there's a daily audio ceiling that protects the account against abnormal use. If the window says today's audio limit reached on an ordinary day of meetings, that isn't your plan: message us on the chat below and we'll check it.

Quick questions

  • Does a meeting with only my voice count? It does. The time is the call's, whether it heard the client or not.
  • Does the demo use up hours? No — it plays a scripted meeting, with no real audio.
  • I left the call running after the meeting. It counted until you hit End call. End it as soon as the meeting is over; that's also what triggers the analysis.
  • My plan expired mid-month. That isn't hours, that's validity: see billing, receipts and changing plans.
